Excellent food, great presentation, good ambiance. Phenomenal!

Went here because of Google Map's recommendations and it's pretty good. Ambience is clean but pretty typical looking. Service was fine and didn't take long. Great presentation and tasting rolls. Probably the best special rolls deal for Friday, Saturday, and Sundays with buy one get one half off.

Good atmosphere. Sake wasn't cold enough. Brought me a bottle bit no was to keep it cold during my meal. Sushi was tasty. I'll give it another try.

I’ve been coming here for the last 8 or so years. The angel hair is amazing. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. They also have wonderful prices and deals on certain days.

I had insect in my sushi. Will not go back there again. They only gave me a 20% off. I do not recommend it.

Let me tell y’all first that I know my sushi! I have tried sushi spots all over Tampa and this place is my favorite. We always get the philly roll with spicy mayo and eel sauce and it’s always super fresh. We come here 2/3x a week and never get tired of it! Customer service is awesome as well

We don't go here as often as other sushi places but not because of the food or service. I just don't like the parking at that end of the plaza.

Lunch deal is so good here. I had Philadelphia,Mexican and Shrimp Tempura with Miso Soup. Everything was great server was nice and helpful. This place is going to be my new sushi spot!

Delivery: I had 12 pieces of sushi I asked for extra soy sauce it was literally one little plastic container filled not even half way and a dab of wasabi ran out and couldn’t finish eating my rolls so not only did I NOT get extra but I didn’t get enough to use for 12 pieces mind you I was using it like a dab when I actually like to dip also the edamame was hard...this is the second time it happened this is why I had to write a review...I try to give a place more than one chance but I won’t be ordering from here anymore...the sushi it self is just okay

My family and I went to Shogun for the first time today. It was wonderful. Quaint, relaxing and the food was fresh and soooo yummy. The staff was very attentive and personable. We couldn't have asked for a better first impression! Will most certainly will be back!

We couldn't find another sushi place close to this shopping area that was open for lunch, so we chose this one. It was ok. I wouldn't say it was amazing, but I have only eaten here this one time, so I would try it again before I decided not to go back. The food was pretty good, but they didn't have the best selection of specialty sushi rolls that i like. If you love raw rolls with raw on top, they have a lot of that. Seems like a decent place.

Hands down the best sushi place I have gone to it was so good. I will 100% be back especially for the grill squid it was amazing presented and I reccomend it completely.

What a surprise this place was! Had reservations at a trendy place nearby. Decided it was a bit too loud and crowded for us, so we found Shogun thru a quick internet search. What a great find! Very friendly staff. Unbelievably delicious sushi, with some innovative twists. Best sushi we've had in a long time, ...and we love sushi!

I think they have one of the best spycy tuna/salmon roll and a great udon and beef noodles a most have.

King Crab Dumpling, Angel Hair Roll, Summer Roll are all favorites, but love everything they make. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

It took awhile for the food to arrive. The miso soup tasted funky, & the drinking water had a funny taste also, which is probably why the soup tasted off. The sushi rolls are good, I especially like the Never Try Never roll.

The food was disappointingly bland and it did not agree with my stomach and made me sick. They also seemed to cut their spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls with bread crumbs to lower the cost?

A hidden gem in Tampa for some of the most delicious and affordable pieces of Sushi.If you venture up to Shogun Sushi you wont be disappointed. They run daily specials, including a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off, on their Signature rolls. They craft some delicious rolls, and they don't skimp on presentation. The staff here take the time to make the experience enjoyable, and I can understand why people continue to pack into this place. I've attached some photos to show you just how great these rolls look, and I can say with confidence I plan to return soon. Do yourself a favor and give this one a try. I have been to many sushi places and this one wasn't pleasing the service was good the food was not the crab , tuna and salmon all tasted the same rice wasn't cooked all the way some pieces were hard. The miso soup smelt like chlorine not very good.

Came here on a whim and was not disappointed! The presentation of the sushi was very pretty I almost didn't want to eat it haha! I had the spicy tuna roll and the dancing tuna roll and it was very delicious! I also got sake and it was great as well. All in all great food, great atmosphere and great service!

We always passed it up and it never stood out because it is in a plaza. However, my husband and I ventured here for a day date. The inside is quaint and peaceful. The food was so good and the portions huge. The price and specials are great! We will definitely go back!

I went and had the basic lunch special. Typically the basic rolls, at other sushi joints, are half-hearted and "tired". Shogun had a nice sized list of the usual basic sushi rolls. I ordered a Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail, and a Tampa. I was very pleasantly surprised! The most surprising was the Tampa which is the one I've gotten most hesitant to order. Shogun's Tampa roll was obviously freshly fried and still warm with a lovely sauce. All of these rolls were tasty. Even the ginger dressing salad was impressive with green leaves of romaine rather than the ubiquitous iceberg lettuce. The decor for this Walmart/Publix strip mall was decorated with dark woods, moodily lit, kinda sexy: basically the antithesis of Walmart. Shogun provided a lovely lunch. I recommend it and plan to go again to try the extremely sexy-looking specialty sushi rolls!!!

Legendary sushi, hidden in a strip mall. I thought I'd tasted the best Sushi in Tampa, and then I tried Shogun. You need to try the King Crab Tuna Dumpling, Shogun Roll, Angel Hair roll, and Magical Roll. Just do yourself a favor and experience the flavor of this place. The service staff is quick and friendly. The chefs are meticulous and steadfast in their delivery of magnificence. The drink offerings are not vast, but well chosen. This place is worth a drive, you'll be happy you did.

This place is our go to sushi place in the Carrollwood / North Dale area. The food is consistently fresh and delicious every time. We've dined inside a few times, but normally do takeout. We've always had great service.
